We are excited to finally reach out and begin the hunt for a hands-on and hungry Solution Owner for Payments to pioneer the next generation of financial services in this area. We search for personalities who always keeps the customer in mind, are comfortable in the details of engineering and have an understanding for how to operate efficiently in the industry.


What you will do

As a Solution Owner you are responsible for a specific area in our BaaS (Banking as a Service) platform which includes to both enable new business capabilities and services for product teams, but also to enhance performance from both a functional and non-functional perspective and make sure that the daily operations works as expected. You will work closely with all types of competences within the team to understand and iron out the solutions that are needed. Your tasks will most likely change over time as our business develops but to start with, here are some of the things we would need you to take responsibility for in the Payments area:

  • Solution roadmap – work closely with product squads to identify what sort of capabilities, services and processes that will be needed and when to support product vision and roadmap
  • Process modelling – build new processes, optimize existing ones and replace them when needed to efficiently manage the solution throughout the lifecycle – all together with an efficient implementation of regulatory requirements
  • Reusability – strive for standardized, reusable and modular implementation that also allows product teams to configure and design for a tailor-made user experience
  • Backlog management – make sure that the backlog is correctly prioritized, that it supports smaller and more frequent deliveries and work closely with engineers to spec out solutions
  • Operational excellence – continuously seek ways to enhance quality and cost efficiency, and what actions that can be taken to enhance performance and mitigate related risks
  • Always keep the flow going! Make sure operations, development and everything in between is working smoothly on a daily basis


What we will need from you

We guess that you most likely have been working with process and product development within payments for a few years. You have a true passion for the area, especially in the processing layer where you are able to see how value streams can be optimized and automated with the help of data, modular implementation and new technologies. And hopefully you have some of these skills:

  • Understanding for payments solutions and how they work throughout the lifecycle
  • Good understanding of the related regulatory landscape and how it impacts solution design
  • Ability to break complex problems into smaller ones, prioritize and execute on them
  • Hands-on experience in process development and modeling
  • Experience of working with data governance
  • Experience from working with different tools and processes related to operational excellence
  • Ability to identify risks and efficiently mitigate them when needed
  • Project management skills and experience in leading and working within a cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-informed decision making
