SEBx, the innovation hub of SEB, is starting a number of initiatives to bring state-of-the art Computer Science and AI research to real-world impact through solving complex business problems. As we are starting to build our Applied Research lab, we will soon publish an application call to solicit project ideas with the potential to disrupt or have a deep impact on the banking business.

Our business focus areas include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Increasing efficiency of our employees and empowering them to make better decisions: automation and augmentation of complex cognitive tasks beyond chatbots;

  2. Foreseeing and preventing threats, from financial crime to cyber-attacks;

  3. Bringing customer experience to the next level: behavior analysis, hyper-personalized recommendations, improving customer support;

  4. Understanding and predicting complex financial systems for better decision making for investment management, risk assessment, and trading.
